Forced SSL Security Added

The best practice for securing online data is to provide not one or two, but multiple layers of security. The Client and Firm Portal currently use the following five layers of security.

1. 24/7 Secure, Monitored, and patrolled Server Environment
2. Closely Managed Hardware Firewall
3. 128 to 256 bit Secure Socket Layers
4. Brute Force Login Prevention
5. SQL Injection Prevention

And now we've added a 6th layer of protection by programmatically forcing all portal access to run encrypted under secure sockets.

We take all these extra security measures to keep you in compliance and give you and your clients a safe place to work online.

Frames Removed

We redesigned the firm and client portal interface this month and removed all the page "frames". The previous "framed" based interface prevented the SSL lock icon to appear on the browser even through the page was protected with SSL encryption.

Now that we've removed the "frames" you and your clients will always see the SSL lock and can rest assured knowing that all data is locked down with strongest SSL encryption.

Popups Removed

The previous "frame" based interface also forced us to use popup windows for people using Internet Explorer. Popup blockers often interfered with the portal and needed to be disabled.

The portal's new interface no longer uses popup windows, so your staff members and clients can now easily access the portal's powerful application without the frustration of having to deal with popups.

Tax Due Date Reminder System Improved

The Tax Due Date Reminder System allows your clients and prospective clients to receive an email reminder a week before each tax due date. They can signup to receive only the due dates that affect them because we offer seven categories like: individuals, business owners, people who earn tips, employers, and more!

We recently rewrote each of the tax due date reminders. If you are not taking advantage of your site's tax due date reminder system, you may want to take a closer look at it now.

New Secure File Exchange, Online Document Storage, and Offsite Backup System Coming in July.

You are getting another huge new release next month. We completely rewrote our Secure File Exchange and Online Document Storage System using Microsoft's .NET framework so we could add 2 new features that we are very excited about.
