To add one of these new Welcome pages, please follow these steps...

1. Login to SiteManager

2. Delete your current Welcome page.

3. Add the new Welcome Page by following the add a page instructions. The New Welcome Page is called "Welcome 2".

4. Move the new Welcome page to the top by Re-ordering the pages.

5. Publish your site and logout.

 
New State Tax Forms Page 
You and your clients can now quickly print state tax forms for any state in the country. Please take a look at the new state tax forms page to see if you want to add it to your site.

To add the new State Tax Forms page to your site, please follow these steps...

1. Login to SiteManager

2. Add the new State Tax Forms Page.

3. If you are using the Standard NavBar (Not the Java one) then you need to...

A. Remove the old Tax Center page. 

B. Add the new Tax Center page with the State Tax Form link on it. 

C. Move the new Tax Center page back to the right position by Re-ordering the page.

If you're using the Java NavBar then you need to follow the instructions on how to add a new page to the Java NavBar. You'll need the following information...

A. Add the State Tax Forms page in the "Tax Center" category.

B. Page Title: State Tax Forms

C. File Name: stateforms.html (all lowercase)

4. Publish your site and logout.

 
New Anti-SPAM Spider-Proof Contact Us Page
SPAM is becoming quite a challenge for all of us on the Internet. I usually get over 300 messages a day. And out of those 300 messages, 10 to 20 are important and valid and the rest are SPAM.

It takes me from 5 to 10 minutes each day to delete a unwanted SPAM. I don't want your inbox to get as clogged as mine so we just developed Anti-SPAM Spider-Proof pages. 

One of the ways SPAMers collect email addresses is through programs called Spiders. Spiders are continually crawling the web looking for email addresses on websites. And once a SPAMer has your email address their isn't much you can do about it.

So the key is to make sure they don't get your email address. That's why we've created a program that encrypts the email addresses on your site.

We've updated the "Contact Us" page to encrypt your email addresses. All you need to you is fill in the "Anti-SPAM Email" field with the 3 parts of your email address. 

If you list the names and email addresses of your staff, then you need to edit your "Staff Member Info" and enter their Anti-SPAM email addresses as well.

If you have your email address listed on the footer of each page then follow these steps.

1. Modify your "Firm Information" by clicking on the orange "Site Settings" button on the top of the page. Then click on the "Change your firm contact information" link. Now scroll to the bottom of the page where you see the big "Page Footer" field.

2. Replace the line that says...

<a href="mailto:steve@vtcpa.com">steve@vtcpa.com</a>

with these lines...

When you're finished, simply re-publish and your site is protected.

New "Out-of-Office" Email Reply Instructions
It's vacation time. When you leave for vacation it's a good idea to let your clients know that you're "out of the office" and you'll get to their email as soon as you get back. You may also want to forward your email to someone else in your firm, so they can handle anything that comes up while you're away.
