[01] Login Information

You will receive an e-mail that contains links, usernames, and passwords to the initial draft of your CPA Site Solutions website. The website is fully loaded and ready for your review.

The temporary URL to your new site will be similar to this:  http://cp1.cpasitesolutions.com/~username/
(Please note that this is just an example.  Your temporary domain will be specific to you.)

To get started right away, click the login button at the top or bottom of any page on your site and use the login credentials from your initial e-mail.

Example of Firm Portal Administration login credentials:

Login Name: admin@domain.com
Password:
password

[02] Modifying Your Site

Although your site is a completely assembled web solution, you can customize it in many ways so that it better fits your needs, as well as your firm’s image.

To start making changes, click the “Modify Your Site” button after you have logged in following the instructions from Section [01].

A great place to start is your Services page. When you first look at your Services page, you’ll see that it’s filled with a wide range of tax, accounting, and consulting services.

Please make a note of the services that your firm doesn’t provide. Then read each of the descriptions of the services and make a note of the changes you’d like to make. Once you have a good list of changes, please call or email them to us so that we can make the changes for you. You can also make the necessary changes to your website yourself if you prefer.

Contacting Support

If you are unable to contact your Dedicated Webmaster, you can call our toll-free number (1-800-896-4500) to talk to another webmaster, or email support@cpasitesolutions.com.

[04] Design Changes

Site Style

You can browse our 300 designs to find the one you like the best. If at any time you’d like a different design, please let us know the number and we’ll change it for you right away.

Pay particular attention to the colors, pictures, and fonts that are consistent on every page. Do you like them? Do they match your letterhead and other correspondence? Please let us know what you would like to change. Some modifications are simple with no cost, whereas others require a consultation with a web designer for a price quote.

Custom Design
If you want to adjust the template by changing the interface colors, pictures and/or fonts, please let us know. Once you’ve decided on the specific changes you would like we’ll contact our design team for a quote. As soon as you agree on changes, we’ll send an invoice and begin making your customizations.

Logo
The Custom Graphic Header matches your firm’s letterhead to your website to give all your firm’s correspondence a consistent look and feel. We will begin work on this as soon as we receive your email containing your current logo as an attachment. We have put in a temporary place holder image until you do so.

If you don’t currently have a logo you can use one of ours for free. Take a look at our 100 free logos and let us know what number you would like to use.

[05] DNS – How to point to your site

To allow users to type into their web browser and reach your site, as well as get your email coming to you, we need to point your domain name to our server. (If we helped you register through domainsforcpas.com, then your domain name is already set to point to your new site within 24 to 48 hours.)

We first need to know a few things about how you are currently using your domain.

1. Are you currently receiving email from accounts for your domain (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com)?

2. If so, do you want to continue to use your current email server or do you want us to host your email? (We’ll host your email for no additional charge.)

3. What is the user id and password for your domain registration account with domainsforcpas.com (or other domain registrar like GoDaddy, Network Solutions, etc.)?

Please call or email us with this information as soon as possible. If you don’t know the answers, please call and let us know so we can help find them for you.  This information is crucial before we can go live with your site.


[06] Email

If you would like us to host your email you will need to complete the steps above in [05] DNS How to point to your site. After the steps are complete, we can configure your email.

Here are some of the benefits our email:

If you will be handling your own email service, please make sure you have email accounts for admin@yourdomain.com and info@yourdomain.com. The admin account will be used as your client portal login and will receive portal notification emails. The info@yourdomain.com account will be displayed on your website’s footer and contact page.

Forms on your site, such as the form on the contact page, will be emailed to the email address you supplied with your account, which is the email address you gave us during the sign up.  The e-mail address where the forms are sent can also be changed later.

[08] Google PPC Search Engine Marketing (Platinum-Level Only)

Platinum-level service includes a Google Adwords pay-per-click campaign and monthly monitoring. Google Adwords can only be setup after Section [5] above is completed and your new site with CPA Site Solutions is made live. Once that is completed, one of our Google Adwords Certified Professionals will contact you.


[09] Billing

Billing will begin on the first of the month after the completion of your trial.  The charge will be applied to either the credit card or EFT that you provided during your sign up with us.

[10] Our Referral Policy

To thank you for sending new clients our way, we’ve set up a referral program. When you refer a new client to CPA Site Solutions, we pay you $100. The referral fees get paid by check after the referred client completes their trial period and begins paying their subscription fee.

To get credit for the referral, the referred client must mention your name when they sign up with us, or include your web address in the “referred by” field on our sign up form.

    I am in the process of setting up a site for another CPA friend of mine. His site is http://www.kentnerdriver.com. I did not realize that you gave a referral bonus. When I talked to Erik during setup, I mentioned that I already had a site but he didn’t say anything about a referral bonus. I just wondered if I could still get it.
