QuickSend: The Quickest Way to Receive Client Files Securely

**UPDATE: QuickSend is now called SecureSend.**

When someone needs to quickly send you a few files, how do they do it?

Email isn’t a solution both because of file size and security.

The secure Client Portal is what your clients normally use, but it’s not a perfect solution, either. The Client Portal is extremely secure – but it requires your clients to log in and go through a few screens. It also requires you to set up an account for your client and train him in how to use the system.

This eats up time for you and your client. And it’s unnecessary.

For quick file sends, have your clients use QuickSend instead. It’s easy, it’s highly secure, and it’s included with any website hosted by CPA Site Solutions.

Here’s how it works…

How QuickSend Works

Add the page titled “QuickSend Page” to a good place on your website such as under the Resources section. When you need a file from a client, tell them where that page is located or send them a link to it via email.

Once on the page, the client:

  1. 1. fills in the form,
  2. 2. chooses the firm member to send the file to,
  3. 3. browses their computer to find the file to attach, and
  4. 4. clicks send.

The client has the choice of sending one or multiple files.

Quickly Receive Sensitive Documents

No Account Setup. QuickSend doesn’t require an account, which makes things easier for you and your client.

For you, there’s no back-end work setting up an account with a username and password. You also don’t need to train your client in how to use the software.

For your client, they just fill out a short form and hit send. There’s no need to remember a username and password and learn how to navigate the system.

QuickSend Is Secure. Files sent by QuickSend are stored in the Client Portal and protected by the Portal’s 14 layers of security. All the files sent are stored in a “dropbox” folder in the selected firm member’s “My Documents” folder. The file is only accessed by the firm member and is extremely secure.

Retain Clients. QuickSend is a great way to make life easier for your clients. And anytime you do this, you make it more likely your clients will stay with you.

QuickSend Increases Profits

When a client needs to send you a file, encourage him to use QuickSend. You’re spared the time it takes to set up his account and train him – leaving you more time for billable work.

And because QuickSend helps you hold on to your current clients, you do less recruiting of new clients – a real cost savings.

If you got this as a standalone service, you would pay $59.95 and up (ShareFile) or $100/month and up (LeapFILE). QuickSend, on the other hand, is included with your CPA website at no additional cost.

Take advantage of QuickSend by adding it as a page on your website. It offers both savings and increased client satisfaction. If you have any trouble or questions regarding this call 800-896-4500 or email support@cpasitesolutions.com.

CPA Website Marketing, How to Boost Your Google Local Listing

Having a Google local listing is essential to establishing, and advertising, your CPA firm. There are easy ways to claim your Google local listings (click here for more info). After you have your listing, what’s next? Here are some easy steps to help boost your local listing.

Look at Your Top Competitors. Do a few searches with Google maps under “accounting” or “accountant” and your city and state or zip code. Try different variations and see which firms consistently have strong listings. These are your top competitors and their listings contain helpful information for your firm.

Target Locally for Best Results

Reviews Are Key. Chances are that the competition has a lot of reviews of their firm. That is because reviews are a very helpful way to show stronger within a search. You want to try and get your clients to provide online reviews for you. Before you start that process there is some relevant information to glean from your competitors’ reviews.

Relevant Information. Click on the links for these reviews and then click on “More about this place.” When you do, you get a list of websites that have linked or talked about the firm. This is information to filter through to find areas that may work for your firm.

A number of the websites listed are probably something any firm could be a part of. An example would be having a free listing on accountant-finder.com. (Note: if you have a website with CPA Site Solutions, you are automatically listed with accountant-finder.) You could also get listed with a local town business directory that has a website.

Research the Links. The next task is to research the links to see which ones are something any firm could be listed with. Make a list and then follow-up with each to get your own CPA website listed as well.

Getting listed in local directories is a great way to increase exposure for your firm. It also gives your CPA website slightly more strength with search engines.
