Six Prebuilt Welcome Pages

By now you may have noticed the five new Welcome pages that appeared on your Add Pages menu not long ago.  We had so many requests to include additional options or greater flexibility to our standard Welcome page, that we built you a whole new set of Welcome pages.

Your Add Pages menu now has five variations on our standard welcome page content. Some rearrange the layout, or move the Weather, Newsletter Subscription, and Market Watch, two of them even include a brief flash presentation.

While these pages are pre-loaded with our default welcome page content, there’s no reason you can’t use these formatted welcome pages for your other content.  All the content on these Welcome pages can be edited just like the other pages on your site.  Want to incorporate the newsletter signup and market watch module into a new Services page? Just add the page Welcome (bottom modules) to your site, and simply adjust the content. That’s all you need to do.

Catch and Correct an Outgoing Email

Everyone’s done it before. You hit “send” and then notice the blatant typo, or spot the wrong email address, or maybe you just change your mind about sending the message, but it’s already too late. You can do nothing but watch the message disappear. All that’s left to do is type up the apology.

If you’re managing your mail through your Workteam Collaboration Suite’s inbox, rather than Outlook or another mail client, then the solution is just a couple clicks away.

Take a look at your Google Labs menu in your Workteam Collaboration Suite and you’ll find the new ‘Undo Send’ feature.

By enabling this item in your email’s Labs settings, you’ll have a five second grace period to cancel the sending of an email.

Just click the “Undo” button and you’ll immediately be returned to the compose message screen to correct any mistakes or delete that embarrassing faux pas.

This is just another innovation available through Google Labs. While you’re enabling Undo Send, take some time to look around at the other new features available there. You might find just the solution you’re looking for.

Don’t Forget our Online Accounting Module

If you’re using QuickBooks to manage your client’s books, you’re tethered to your desk. If you’re home, or at your client’s office and you need access to those files, you’re stuck either going all the way into your office, or leaving your computer running constantly to log in remotely.

Experimental Email Options

Your Workteam Collaboration Suite has access to all the resources of Google behind it. Not only do you have over seven gigabytes of storage space and a full suite of Workteam Collaboration tools, you also have access to Google Labs- the testing ground for new features. By enabling some of these tools, you can take greater control over your webmail experience.

You’ll find the Google Labs options in your mail settings, which you can access from the upper right of your email. Then just click the ‘Labs’ tab to find all your options:

Some tools simply enhance or improve existing functions, Forgotten Attachment Detector, for example, helps you ensure that your attachments are included when you click the send button. Likewise Signature Tweaks simply changes where your signature appears on a reply.

Other tools, like Tasks, and Canned Responses add entirely new features. Tasks adds a new item below your contacts list, a pop-up editable task list, complete with due date scheduling and notes. Canned Responses saves the messages and text you send frequently which can be added to a new email with just a couple clicks.

There are plenty more options available through Google Labs and there’s always new tools on the way. If there’s something about using Google Applications that frustrates or annoys you, you might just find the solution in Google Labs, and if you don’t, just wait. Someone may just build it for you.
