Chiro is originally from Yokohama, Japan. When he was 15 years old, his parents sent him to study English and American culture at a high school in New Hampshire. After graduating from high school, he decided to study at the University of Vermont because of beautiful Lake Champlain, downtown Burlington, and the campus. Shortly after receiving his B.S. degree in Business Administration, he moved to Boston, back to Japan, then to Vancouver, and Abitibi in Quebec. In 2000, he decided to come back to Vermont for good. Since then, he got another degree in Computer Science from UVM, got married to his wife Melinda in Las Vegas, and adopted 2 dogs. He worked for biochemists, in the HVAC industry, and now for CPA Site Solutions.
In his leisure time, Chiro likes to invite friends to his kitchen for dinner parties where he makes delicious Japanese food. To ensure the best taste of the food, he occasionally makes day trips to Boston or NYC for fresh ingredients. And yes, he makes the freshest sushi in Vermont for sure!
