Meet Beth Lougeay

Webmaster & Pocket-sized Superhero

Beth graduated with a B.A. in Communications from Lenoir-Rhyne University (well technically it was Lenoir-Rhyne College when she was attending) and decided that video was the way for her to go.  She has always been into photography, but since still photography was not an option at LRC learning the ways of the video camera was the next best thing.

By nature, she’s a traveler, which in her case also means that she’s moved around a bit.  She was born in Wisconsin, lived in New York, stayed in Vermont for a few years, spent her formative years in Tennessee, went to college in North Carolina, moseyed on over to Ohio, and finally made herself a New Englander again becoming a Maine-ah for a short stint.  Now she is back in the great state of Vermont where only the best maple syrup comes from.

Before landing a seat with CPA Site Solutions she worked in retail management for many years.  She enjoyed working in the book world the best since book people are very interesting and it gave her an excuse to buy books. However, don’t ask her if she remembers seeing that book by that author that was on that table over there last year and it was blue.

She spends her spare time with her boyfriend, Jamie, where they like to catch hockey games, Red Sox games, and maybe dinner, too.  One day they hope to both catch a Patriot’s game together.  She’s never been a sports nut, being a former self-dubbed band nerd, but thanks to his tutelage she has acquired a love of most things sports related and might even yell at the TV if the ref makes a bad call.

Family:  Her parents live in Ohio doing all things Ohioan and travel in their spare time.  She has an older brother who is an Army captain and is Special Forces EOD.

Hobbies/Interests:  Most of the time she likes to spend her time doing things of the crafty persuasion which can include, but are not limited to sewing, knitting, crocheting, journaling, scrap booking, embroidery, decoupage, and anything else that might appeal to her.  It’s a terrible afflicition to want to do everything and also very satisfying.

Favorite Books:  Harry Potter series, Inheritence Series, knitting books, cookbooks, Sweet Potato Queens Book of Love, and anything that might spark her interest.  She tends to find something she wants to learn or do and then gets a book on it to learn how.

Favorite TV Shows: NCIS, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, CSI: New York (and Vegas), The Office, Bones, Glee, and now Grimm

Favorite Movies: Clue, Emma, Pride & Prejudice (the Colin Firth version), Sense & Sensibility, Bride and Prejudice, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Silent Movie (and every other Mel Brooks movie in existence)

Favorite Food:  Bacon.

Random Tidbit:  She can juggle and swing dance, but not at the same time.
